BARBARA
NICKEL

Barbara Nickel has cycled through Vietnam, taught English in Puerto Rico, and spent a year of her
childhood in Kenya. A resident of B.C., Barbara holds an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia,
where she was the poetry editor of PRISM international and has also instructed writing classes.
In addition to being an award-winning poet and novelist, Barbara is an accomplished violinist.
