Clare Beaton is the illustrator of more than forty books for children.
Her work features fabric art incorporating buttons, beads, wire, sequins, embroidery and
numerous other found and recycled materials. She is a graduate of the
Hornsey College of Art in England, where she studied illustration and graphics.
She worked on children’s programs at the BBC for eight years creating captions, puppets and props.
Ms. Beaton lives in London.
Clare Beaton's art can be seen online as a delightful
feature of the advertising campaign for Triaminic. The firm Saatchi & Saatchi commissioned the work from Clare and Bermuda Shorts animated
it for the television commercials.
