Quotes:
“Kaslik is a talented storyteller. This book captured something
visceral and alive in every family: the power of its secrets and how we can choose to be either
haunted or healed by them.”
- The Georgia Straight
“Skinny is arguably one of the most elegant, beautifully written novels
about female self-immolation to come out in a long time.”
- Montreal Mirror
“The book's emotional grip is fierce, and the hunger of its characters for
love and understanding is compelling. By telling her story through shifting perspectives,
Kaslik pinpoints a sense of alienation unique to being lost and disconnected among those who love you,
and whom you love.”
