Five Easy Pieces

Five Pieces is a graphic novel of short stories, intertwined in narrative. Introspective in mood, many of the stories feature Asian characters as leads, and the subjects reflect some of the challenges faced by Asian immigrants of all ages as they struggle to adapt to north-American life. However, the focus and intended audience of the book is not Asian-specific, and the book is meant to have a universal appeal. The hope is that the themes of the book have resonance with any reader who has experienced similar feelings of alienation, loss, hope and love.
