RACHNA GILMORE

Rachna was born in India and lived in Bombay until the age of fourteen when her family moved to London, England.
Books were always a source of delight, solace and inspiration and Rachna was strongly influenced by characters in books who wrote.
She is the author of many children's books, including the 1999 Governor General's Award-winning
A Screaming Kind of Day; the acclaimed Gita picture books, as well as various novels for children.
Rachna also writes adult fiction under the pseudonym Rachna Mara.
