Shana Burg studied public policy at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government,
worked on a Mississippi hunger-relief project,
taught sixth grade in one of the nation’s most ethnically diverse public schools, and worked with youth in Africa and
Central America. She has published op-ed articles about education and young people in the Boston Globe,
The Boston Herald,
and written feature stories for New Designs for Youth Development. Her first middle grade novel, A Thousand Never Evers,
will be published by Delacorte Books (Random House BFYR) in 2008. Shana lives in Austin, TX, with her husband and son.
