VICKI GRANT

Vicki Grant says she always knew she wanted to be a writer -- though it took a while to figure out just what type of writer
she wanted to be. She began as a copywriter, and earned awards and accolades in Canada and the United States for her work. She next conquered
children's television, writing for series such as Theodore Tugboat, Big Comfy Couch,
Sesame Park and Skinnamarink TV.
She then created, wrote and co-produced Scoop & Doozie, a pre-school comedy series for CBC - TV that won a Gemini Award, among others.
Her first novel for children, The Puppet Wrangler, drew on her experiences in children's TV and
launched her book
career. Her second children's book, Quid Pro Quo, a legal thriller -- "John Grisham for the skateboard set", continued her
award-winning streak. She is currently at work on a new novel, The Changing Room, another comic novel for young readers.
Vicki lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia with her husband and three children.
