Victoria Chess is the illustrator of over 100 books for children and is well known for her clever and mischievous sense of humor. Her well-loved titles include Slugs by David Greenberg, A Hippopotamusn't and Other Animal Poems by J. Patrick Lewis and The Scaredy Cats by Barbara Bottner. Ms. Chess divides her time between homes in Connecticut and France.
