Andrea Torrey Balsara
Agent: Marie Campbell
Andrea Torrey Balsara is a singer, performer, writer and illustrator. She works to create stories that resonate with children and make them think, laugh, cry and dig deep to find the treasure within themselves. She trained as a stage performer and dancer in both children's and musical theatre in London, England at Mountview Theatre School. In previous years, her expressive gifts also found creative expression through freelance work as a sign language interpreter.
Andrea has studied children’s book illustration with Martin Springett, story graphics through Joe Kubert, and writing through the Institute of Children's Literature Writing Course.
In her ongoing Virtue Classes for children Andrea teaches ethics using stories, music, activities, and community service projects. Andrea also gives art workshops on request.
