Tabitha Olson started writing when a zealous high school English teacher charged her class with writing an original poem. Terrified and completely lacking in confidence, she muddled through...only to discover she loved everything about it. Over the next few years, she continued to write poetry while getting her degree in Math and Computer Science from UIUC. A few years later, she received an Honorable Mention in the Children’s Fiction area of the Writer’s Digest Annual Writing Competition. She also became an active member of SCBWI, and wrote a column in her local chapter's newsletter.
She has always been an inherent explorer, likes to travel abroad, crochet, and decorate cakes. She currently lives in Chicago with her husband and two children.
